Producers about our exciting project, “Shu.” We previously discussed the potential collaboration for the feature film, founded by two award-winning media-arts professionals, Roberto Mitrotti and Royi Akavia.
Akavia, a native of Israel, and the U.S. and now a resident of Japan, Is an artist, animator, and director of animation with over 30 years of professional experience working In animation and painting techniques.
Mitrotti, a native of Italy and a U.S. citizen residing in Los Angeles is an artist, writer, and filmmaker with three decades of experience working at the confluence of film, television, digital media, art, and fashion.
The Companys is producing an original animated children’s feature film, Shu And the Resistance. After the feature’s completion, the plan is to develop a TV series about one of the major health issues facing children in the United States and across the globe – excessive consumption of sugar and sugar-based food products.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports in the U.S. that in 2015-2016 obesity affected nearly one-in-seven (14%) of children aged 2-5 years and nearly one in five (18%) of children aged 6-11 years. (More than one in three [35%] adults are considered obese.) These figures are even greater in developing countries.
