The Story
SO, WHAT IS OUR STORY ABOUT?
Shu, a health-conscious 8-year-old skater-girl from New York tries to straighten out her junk-food-addicted mother, while suddenly her father, an astrophysicist, disappears in his own lab.
Shu goes there to investigate and is sucked into another dimension: Sugar Dream City, a dystopian candy-land, ruled by Sugarqub. He enslaves the people turning them into sugar-addicted zombies aided by his vicious son Arlo, a control-freak wife, Esmeralda, the evil scientist, Dr.Zugar, and his army of robo-dogs.
Shu is rescued by freedom fighters called “The Rez”..
A Globel Epidemic
Every fifth child worldwide is overweight or obese. In the UK, the number is one out of three by age nine.
The main reason is diet—sugar in particular.
Long-term risks of this overconsumption of sugar and poor diet is diseases such as type-2 diabetes.
A lack of education is a key factor in this ongoing problem, and we aim to tackle it with a story that hides its message in a wildly entertaining adventure.
